Katy Cowan, founder and editor of Creative Boom, was so kind to feature some of my work in the Inspiration section of the site this morning. You can check out the feature here, and be sure to browse the rest of the site as well! You'll be bound to find some inspiration of your own.
Thank you, Katy!

Two new prints are available at the shop! And, for a limited time, they are on sale (along with the 11x14 Ceryneian Hind print).
Be Still
Earlier this year I was approached by a film company to illustrate wrap-arounds for the DVD packaging of a film series titled True Beauty. This is the cover for the first film in the series, which is titled "Be Still".
Be Still
In Be Still, Lisa Chan explores the pressures, perceptions, and expectations that women face and inspires viewers to let go of these lies and to enjoy being at the feet of Jesus.
From the True Beauty website:
The True Beauty films invite you into an authentic conversation about God's Word. Together with Lisa, you will explore the spiritual practices and truths of living life in Christ. Each film in the series weaves Lisa's teaching with another woman's story of discovery. Rich in Scripture and practical application, these unique films point you to the freeing discovery that true beauty lies in the heart.
Check out more about the films at the True Beauty website! The first film is currently available for purchase.
Many thanks to the crew at Flannel, Inc. You have all been such a pleasure to work with on this project!

Some snippets of a piece I've been picking away at.
So many animals, and this isn't even half of them!
Happy 4th of July
Some shots from a walk in the woods while on our one year anniversary trip in Arcadia, Michigan.
Happy 4th of July! I'm so excited to see the fireworks tonight.
a is for artist
I just discovered A is for Artist and I cannot stop exploring. It is a sweet and, sadly, short A-Z list of some of the more influential artists, both of the past and present. Though there are some major contributors missing, there are so many new artists and sources of great inspiration that I have discovered already. And I'm not even halfway through the list.
a year of marriage
Nik and I went to Arcadia, MI this past weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary of marriage.
We stayed at a bed & breakfast, enjoyed the shoreline of Lake Michigan, visited the Arcadia Dunes, browsed the impressive local museum, went horseback riding at a nearby dude ranch, and even saw a double feature at a drive-in movie. Overall a very relaxing weekend filled with beautiful sights.
Neither of us can believe its been a full year since we exchanged vows. It seems like it's only been months. But this past year has been so wonderful and we have created so many new memories, and I look forward to continue growing and going on adventures with my husband.
